About Us / Project Summary

The planned Wind Turbine Maintenance Training Course (WIN-LG) aims, in the medium term and in accordance with international standards (e.g., GWO), to offer comprehensive and continuous training of specialists in the wind energy sector from a single source.

RENEWAC Vision

The training program will consist of three stages:

  1. Information Phase – Detailed information about the training program, providing an overview and serving as a decision-making tool for operators and potential participants when deciding whether to pursue the full program or selected modules.
  2. Multi-Level Training Program – A step-by-step training program focusing on building technical competencies and efficient working methods.
  3. Certification Program – Designed for deepening and confirming the acquired knowledge.

Since the program is demand- and market-oriented, both structure and detailed content will be defined during the project, based on:

In the pilot phase, the trainer training will be conducted at Yaşar University. Facilities will be provided by the university. For the practical parts of the pilot training (e.g., GWO Basic Safety Training), cooperation with existing training providers is planned.

After the business partnership ends, WIN-LG will continue in permanent operation at Yaşar University, led by the consortium partners Sekem Energy GmbH, Yaşar University, BDT Ltd, Anchor and Bolakar Enerji Ltd. BFI Burgenland will remain as an advisory and supportive partner.

RENEWAC Phases

In the long term, together with Yaşar University, further training courses in renewable energy (e.g., photovoltaics, biomass utilization, geothermal energy) and in maintenance (e.g., railway) as well as safety and quality management are planned. The WIN-LG is intended to serve as the core of a Maintenance Academy. The concept will also be adapted for other regions in Turkey and transferred to other countries (e.g., Egypt).
